Fashion brands and their home collections
Here are the first images of the MEISSEN HOME presentation @ this year’s Maison & Objet fair. Following the workmanship and artistry of the acclaimed porcelain, the home collection offers a broad collection that is developed with a lot of attention to the details that create true luxury.
From hand-painted leather cushions (demonstrated live on the stand) via porcelain insets into the tables to huge porcelain lamps, this is the most complex and well-crafted luxury home collection to date. The colour concept is also very detailed and uses the broad heritage of decors and chinoiseries the brand has collected over the centuries. Reds, turquoise and greens are added to the beige, gold and black background colours.
Interestingly the fair presentation was more breathtaking than the catalogue. Possibly because it conveyed the overall warmth of a wealthy home in a better way and placed less emphasis on the individual designs.
